Not Today Satan
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” – 2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)
Last week, during my morning walk, a song by KB and Andy Mineo came on called “Not Today Satan.” Feel free to listen on Amazon Unlimited or download the track here. It’s a gospel rap song with a beat and lyrics that almost made me want to pause for a praise break!
The lyrics made me think about the fact that as Children of God, we have so much power. We don’t have to take what the enemy throws at us. As soon as we get up in the morning, we should be determined to have a GREAT day despite what happens. And despite whatever test or trial that we may have to face, we have to remember that “we are more than conquerors through [Christ Jesus] who loves us.” (Romans 8:37) It’s time that we stop acting like we are defeated and just pick up our weapons and put the enemy to flight.
So, arm yourself with the Word of God, Prayer, and Praise and Worship knowing that the victory is already yours!
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: Offense or Defense? The best way to win a war, battle, game, etc. is to have a strong offense. You want to make sure you are ready and prepared to take on your opponent and not just wait for the opponent to come at you and then react. We should always work on having a strong relationship with Christ by praying more, by reading the Word of God, and by being in a church with an anointed leader so that we are prepared for test and trails that we may face in life.
ACTION ITEM: This week, stockpile your spiritual arsenal with the following scriptures:
- Ephesians 6:10-18
- 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
- 1 Peter 5:8
- James 4:7
- Hebrews 4:12
- 1 John 5:14-15
- 1 Peter 2:11
- Ephesians 2:1-12
- Romans 12:1-2
Thank you for this post, I really needed that right now 🙂
