Completely Vested
“And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul.” – 2 Chronicles 15:12
Sometimes when I am in a struggle to find peace in a certain area of my life, I realize that I am slacking in an area with my relationship with Christ. We can read in God’s Word that the people of Israel had the same issues. When they weren’t following and worshiping God, they were not at peace with other Countries. But, Asa, King of Judah, heeded the words of the prophet and took a fierce stand against idolatry in the kingdom. He led his people in a covenant with God and in return, God blessed the kingdom with 35 years of peace!
Are you struggling to find peace? If you seek Jesus Christ with all your heart and with all your soul and if you truly devote yourself to Him, He will restore your peace and grant you just what you need!

In your Christian walk, day-by-day you are making an investment into the Kingdom by good deeds, witnessing to others, and living a Godly life. Jesus Christ matches your investment with the priceless gift of salvation and a multitude of blessings. It would make no sense to set aside your Christian faith, when Heaven is your reward when we leave this earth and we are fully vested. So, don’t become side-tracked by temptation, disappointments, discouragement – keep the faith and keep moving forward!
ACTION ITEM: Take time this week to evaluate your “Spiritual Portfolio”. How are you investing your time – do you faithfully attend church, are you helping others, have you encouraged someone lately? How are you investing your money – do you pay your tithes and offerings regularly? How are you investing in your own spiritual growth – are you reading your bible daily, are you praying often? If you are coming up short in an area, make plans on how you can invest more so that you can experience spiritual growth!
