This time of year, Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, is an emotional time for me – to think that God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for me, is beyond comprehension. The beating, the humiliation, the agonizing and painful death of crucifixion – He endured it all for me…and you.
And then, He rose again so that those of us who are born-again Believers could have Hope that we will rejoice in His presence one day!
Yes, it is easy to remember the promise and the hope that is in Jesus’s resurrection today. But, many times, we become so consumed with our problems, stress, negative behaviors that we forget about that Hope.
The fact that Jesus lives and His Holy Spirit is alive in us today, should be enough to renew our Hope that our present and our future can be prosperous and full of joy.
So, today, as you celebrate Resurrection Sunday and the Hope that comes in knowing that Jesus is alive, I want to encourage you to embrace that Hope and remember it daily!
So, when you are faced with disappointment, despair, sickness, depression, the death of a loved one, a financial crisis, REMEMBER:
“But those who HOPE in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
