#5 Cloudy With A Chance Of Hope
One of the most beautiful promises that God gave to mankind was the rainbow. After the rain passes and the dreary clouds break away, a rainbow suddenly appears. It is absolutely breathtaking!
Scientists explain it as a natural phenomenon. Scientifically, a rainbow is created when light from the sun is reflected or dispersed through water droplets or rain.
It reminds me of life – many times we go through seasons of darkness, storms, cloudiness in our life. But the Son is always there and even though the clouds may still be there and the rain is just starting to end, His light in our situation reminds us of His promise. Read more here…
#4 Conquering Fear
When I was 11 years old, I fell while riding my bicycle. The handlebars jabbed me directly underneath my rib cage – ouch, it was so painful! It was so painful that I didn’t have an appetite the next day. I love food, so you know that I must have been in pain. I never rode on my pink huffy bicycle again.
It wasn’t until my adult years that I decided to face my fear of riding a bicycle again and jump back on one. My husband purchased a bicycle for himself, the kids…and me. So, because it was all about “quality family time”, I decided to conquer my fear of getting on a bicycle and try it again. Now, I ride on the back of my husband’s Harley!
In order to conquer fear, you have to make a conscious effort to not let fear consume your life. Read more here…
#3 Breaking Free
Today we celebrate freedom but ask yourself – Am I truly free? Too many people are walking around in spiritual and emotional bondage. They may shout on Sundays, dress the part, and even smile through it – but deep down they are harboring feelings that are keeping them from stepping into their purpose.
I, myself, have been there. For years, I struggled with low self-esteem and self-doubt. I didn’t feel that I deserved to be loved and I didn’t love myself. Read more here…
Don’t you hate it when your computer gets stuck and won’t let you finish your work? Or when it seems to just have a mind of its own? When this happens, you have two choices – either unplug it & throw it out the window OR hit control, alt, delete to reset your computer. Option 1 may make you feel a little bit better in the moment until you realize you will have to add buying a new laptop to your expense list. Option 2 usually works…sometimes it works after hitting the buttons two or three times…but it does work!
Life is the same way! Sometimes we just get STUCK. Read more here…
#1 Love Prevails
A little over 12 years ago, I met this handsome guy that swept me off my feet. I had never felt love like this before – I wasn’t even sure that it was love because I had never experienced such an invigorating emotion. Mostly, because I had been hurt so much by past relationships. Having endured an abusive relationship, I put up a brick wall so that I wouldn’t get hurt again. For years, I suffered from low self-esteem and didn’t feel that I deserved the love Frederick was showing me. But let me tell you, he was persistent and patient with me!
Frederick’s love and romantic ways chipped at the wall, brick-by-brick. Read more here…
My prayer is that God will continue to bless this ministry and enlarge my outreach so that it will inspire, encourage, uplift and draw people to Christ!
